What is the HERS Index?
The HERS Index is an overall score for a home created by a modeling software, e.g. REM/Rate, that indicates the building's energy efficiency rating.  In the 2015 version of the IECC, the HERS Index has been introduced as an alternative path to code compliance.  For more information about the HERS Index, you can click on the following link:  http://www.resnet.us/hers-index .
