Energy Codes and Standards:
  • IECC (International Energy Conservation Code 2012, 2015, 2018, and 2021)
  • RESNET Index/ HERS (Home Energy Rating System)
  • Energy Star Version 3.2 (ESV3.2 projects may qualify for utility company rebates.)



Residential Services:
  • Plan Reviews (Using RESCheck or Ekotrope we review your plans to ensure the project will meet energy code compliance.  The builder takes our reports and submits them to the city with all other necessary documentation for a permit to build.)
  • Building Pressure/Blower Door Testing (Required by code to ensure a minimal amount of air leakage/infiltration)
  • Duct Pressure Testing  (Required by code to ensure a minimal amount of heating and cooling loss to attics or other unconditioned spaces.)
  • Swimming Pool Efficiency Compliance (Required by code to ensure energy code compliance.)
  • Energy Star Certification (Completing the Ekotope report and Energy Star checklists by working with ESV3.2 certified builders and HVAC contractors to help certify Energy Star Projects.)
  • Heat Load Calculations (Required to show HVAC equipment is properly sized for the space and complies with the code.)
  • Energy Audits (An inspection and testing process to help existing home owners determine cost effective energy saving improvements)

Commercial Services:
  • Plan Reviews (Using COMCheck we review your plans to ensure the project will meet energy code compliance.  The builder takes our reports and submits them to the city with all other necessary documentation for a permit to build.)
  • Building Pressure/Blower Door Testing (Currently optional under the energy code, IECC in lieu of a visual inspection of the building's air barrier)
  • Duct Pressure Testing  (Only required for high pressure duct systems, >3 inches of water column operating pressure)
